He said Police retrieved five mobile phones and a cash sum of GH 5,200.

The suspects have been detained to assist in further investigations.

A resident, Nana Ansah, told Starr News the robbery gangs that operate on the road mostly target traders during market days creating anxiety whenever travelling on the road.

He said little has been done by the Police to apprehend the robbery gangs believed to be Fulani Herdsmen.

“My brother, it is not easy here. The armed robbers have been disturbing us. They mostly strike early mornings of market days at Kotoso which are Tuesdays and Fridays. Kotoso market is a very big market which attracts many people from across the country so it is important this robbery menace is dealt with.”
