OSP assures whistleblowers of their protection under the law

The Office of the Special Prosecutor has assured whistleblowers of their protection under the law if they are able to give out information on corruption-related activities engaged in by officials.

The OSP noted that the role of the whistleblower in the fight against corruption in the country cannot be underestimated.

“A whistleblower’s identity will not be revealed by the OSP without his or her consent except in areas where the Special Prosecutor determines there is an imminent danger to public health or safety or in the public interest in such a case OSP would attempt to contact the whistle blower to inform him or her of this communication.”
