The Electoral Commission (EC) has reiterated its dedication to ensuring a flawless election process in order to preserve democratic principles and public confidence.

Over 200 professionals with experience in mathematics, statistics, and related quantitative fields have been hired by the EC as part of a strategic recruitment initiative to improve its operational efficiency. The goal of this action is to increase the election results’ legitimacy and dependability.

In a media interview on Tuesday, November 5, EC Deputy Chairperson Dr. Eric Bossman Asare described the Commission’s preparations and emphasized the importance of accuracy and transparency in the approaching elections.

Dr. Asare emphasized the EC’s commitment to avoiding mistakes of all sizes that might jeopardize public trust.

He emphasized that the recently hired experts contribute strong analytical abilities to support accurate data collection, vote tabulation, and statistical analysis—all of which are critical to a reliable and accurate election process.

“The Commission has already recruited over 280,000 individuals who are going to work on this election. We have also recruited people who are going to help with the collation.

“These are people who have a background in mathematics, actuarial science, and statistics and will be assisting with quantitative methods. So they are going to assist the returning officers at the constituency level.”
