Public Agenda visited the School on March 7, 2025, to join it mark this year’s World Book Day which was held on the theme, ‘Readers are leaders.’ The programme was meant to encourage a culture of reading among the pupils. The official date for the World Book Day (WBD) is 23 April – usually falls during the Easter Holidays for most UK schools. By celebrating in March, one must to have a special day at school to find new books, talk about reading, and dress up as your favourite characters from the books you read.

In an interview with Public Agenda, Mr. Aaron Osei Debrah, Director of Beam County School Ghana, said the school  provides quality education from crèche to Junior High School and offers foundation programmes like TOEFL and IELTS for students planning to study abroad.

Mr. Debrah encouraged parents to enroll their children at Beam County School for its practical approach and quality education.

The Head teacher of Beam County School Ghana, Ms. Linder Osei, shared that the school’s reading programme aims to help students appreciate reading and develop lifelong habits.

She highlighted that reading broadens knowledge, exposes students to new perspectives, and improves language skills.

Ms Osei noted that the theme, “Readers are Leaders” underscores that reading is key to leadership and success. She used the occasion to encouraged students to expand their vocabulary by using a dictionary to understand unfamiliar words.

 On their part, Miss Pokua Adoma Boakye and Nannie Alhassan Akambey, students of Beam County School Ghana expressed enthusiasm about the school’s Book Day, which sparked their interest in reading, and praised the school’s facilities and teaching staff.

For parents seeking a school that provides a balanced and comprehensive education for their children, BEAM County School Ghana offers a fantastic opportunity.
