Mawuedem Solution, a non-governmental organisation based in the Greater Accra Region, has donated relief items worth hundreds of Ghana cedis to the people of Battor and Anyako in the Volta Region.
The donated items included clothing, shoes, bags, boots, bags of rice, assorted drinks, and other essential supplies.
Presenting the items to the chiefs, elders, and residents, the founder of Mawuedem Solution, Mr. Edem Kwame Bonuedi, noted that many young people in rural communities face significant challenges that hinder their access to education.
According to him, the lack of adequate support limits their opportunities and leaves them vulnerable to drug abuse and other social vices.
He stressed the importance of empowering the youth to channel their potential into innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship as a means of improving their livelihoods.
The beneficiary communities expressed their gratitude to the organisation for the timely support. They also appealed to Mawuedem Solution and other philanthropists to assist them in accessing potable water, noting that the water currently available in the communities is salty and unsuitable for consumption.
