In a proactive move to enhance its operational effectiveness and strategic impact, the Integrated Social Development Centre (ISODEC) has held an intensive training programme aimed at strengthening staff capacity in key areas central to the organization’s existing and new policies.
The five- day training, which brought together all staff members in Accra and those from the northern Ghana office, focused on vital development and organizational skills, including Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) techniques, the Common-Wealth Approach(CWA), resource mobilization strategies, communications approaches and strategy, as well as the rollout and implementation of ISODEC’s revised and new policies.
The initiative was part of ISODEC’s ongoing efforts to build internal capacity and ensure all team members are aligned with the organization’s new strategic direction.

The multi-faceted training was under STAR-Foundation’s Civil Society Strengthening Fund project (SHIFT the Power). It was held on the theme, Ensuring Compliance, Accountability and Ethical Conduct.
In his opening remarks, the Executive Director of ISODEC, Mr Sam Danse indicated that, the training was designed not only to empower staff with practical tools but also to foster deeper teamwork among them.

Mr Danse stressed the importance of staff engagement and participation, noting that the sessions were structured to be interactive and directly applicable to ISODEC’s current and future work in communities across Ghana.
“We believe that strengthening our internal capacity is a critical step toward achieving the objectives of our strategic plan and improving the lives of the communities we serve,”Mr Danse said.

The Executive Director anticipates that the skills and knowledge gained through the training would significantly enhance ISODE’s ability to mobilize resources, communicate effectively, and implement policies that are both responsive and impactful.
All Member of Staff who participated in the training expressed their appreciation for the knowledge gained, insisting that management of ISODEC has offered them some tonic for delivery.
