The sad passing of Madam Akosua Gyawa Kutin, 100, occurred on Tuesday July 16 2024 in Adansi Brofoyedru, Ashanti Region. She was the mother of Dr. Rose Mensah-Kutin of ABANTU for Development, the grandmother of Professor Franklyn Manu, former Rector of GIMPA and also the mother-in-law of Professor Kwame Karikari, former executive director of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA).

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
