“What we are doing as a government is called inclusive transformation. The Zongo community is part of that transformation. That is why we created a Ministry for Zongo and Inner City Development. We are going to ensure that both the Zongo Development Plan and the Ministry of Zongo and Inner City Development focus on real development. The disabled and lepers are included and they should all be on the Livelihood Against Poverty Programme (LEAP).”

The Zongo Development Fund was established to assist Muslim communities across the country.
