Legacy Project donates Kwame Nkrumah’s books to Legon.

The 8th Pan African Congress Legacy Project donated a set of books to the Kwame Nkrumah Institute for African Studies in Legon. The first set of books authored by Kwame Nkrumah were donated to the Kwame Nkrumah Chair at the Institute, Professor Horace Campbell and the second to the Director of the Institute, Professor Dzodzi Tsikata.

Receiving the books, Professor Horace Campbell thanked the Legacy Project and promised that the books will be useful to students of pan Africanism. Professor Dzodzi Tsikata who received a set of books on behalf of the Institute for African Studies.

The Chair of the Legacy project, Zaya Yeebo who led the delegation to donate the books also promised to work with institutions, schools and libraries in Ghana to ensure that books written by Kwame Nkrumah were available to Ghanaians and Africans. The Legacy Project delegation included Mr. Jerry Tetteh, Director of Freedom Books and Mr. Justice Henaku and leading member of the Convention Peoples Party and the Socialist Forum of Ghana.

The Legacy Project has commissioned the publication of all books written by Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and other leading pan African intellectuals like Frantz Fanon, Walter Rodney, Patrice Lumumba and publications by the Socialist Forum of Ghana. The Legacy Project is the outcome of the 8th Pan African Congress held in Accra in 2015 and  was supported  by the Africa Union and hosted by President John Mahama.
