Nkoranman Community Bank PLC based at Seikwa in the Tain District of the Bono Region had its profit before tax rose 37.3% to GH¢2.07 million in 2025, supported by strong growth in deposits, assets and investments, as the lender works to meet the Bank of Ghana’s minimum capital requirement.
Total assets increased 45.5% to GH¢53.36 million from GH¢36.68 million in 2024, while customer deposits rose 47.1% to GH¢44.44 million, strengthening the bank’s capacity to mobilise funds for lending and other operations.
Gross advances grew 30.9% to GH¢16.36 million from GH¢12.50 million, while investments increased to GH¢26.31 million from GH¢16.77 million, a rise of 56.8%. Net income rose 37% to GH¢11.68 million from GH¢8.52 million in the previous year.
Addressing the bank’s 29th Annual General Meeting at Seikwa, Board Chairman, Kingsford Nyarko-Fordjour, said the results reflected customer and shareholder confidence despite competition in the financial services sector.
“This performance demonstrates the continued confidence and trust that our customers and shareholders have placed in the Bank,” he said.
The bank’s improved performance comes as it seeks to strengthen its capital base to meet the central bank’s minimum stated capital requirement of GH¢5 million by the end of 2026.
Paid-up capital increased 2.9% to GH¢1.29 million in 2025 from GH¢1.25 million a year earlier, leaving the bank below the regulatory threshold.
The Chief Executive Officer, Ali Maamah, said the bank had mobilised GH¢4.5 million as of October 2026 and was working to meet the requirement before the end of the year.
The bank aims to raise more than GH¢10 million in capital by December 2027 to qualify for urban community bank status, he said.
The board also proposed a GH¢200,000 dividend for the 2025 financial year, to be paid as bonus shares, subject to approval by the Bank of Ghana.
GROWTH PLANS
The bank plans to expand electronic banking services, including agency banking, SMS alerts and APAX link, to improve access and bring services closer to customers.
It also intends to increase agricultural lending to businesses and farmers operating along the cashew, maize and tomato value chains, while expanding microfinance services to reach more traders and mobilise additional deposits.
The bank, which is located in the agrarian Tain District, said the initiatives were intended to support local economic activity and expand its customer base.
Nkoranman Community Bank spent GH¢30,765 on corporate social responsibility initiatives in 2025, supporting projects and activities in education, health, traditional council development and other social interventions.
