Tweneboa Kodua Senior High (TKSKS) School Old Students Association (AKYEREMA) will this week organize the 2017 Homecoming event from 3rd to 5th November 2017, on the campus of the school at Kumawu in the Ashanti Region.

The event seeks to bring together the Kumawuman Traditional Council, the Board of Governors, all old students, both home and abroad; past tutors, parents and guardians and the general public to deliberate on issues affecting the school and also look at how best the general conditions of the school can be improved.

Speaking with the President of the Greater Accra Regional Branch of the Association, Mr. Eddie Kusi Ankomah, he indicated that the theme for the homecoming event is “Promoting Academic Excellence at TKSHS: The Role of Old students.”

He said the event will be a time to bring together all old students of the school, dating back from the 60s to interact with the students, teaching and non-teaching staff to find out issues hampering teaching and learning at the school and also deliberate on how to minimize those challenges.

Mr. Eddie Ankomah, expatiating on the theme, mentioned that old students play pivotal roles in the development of every school and it is high time old students of Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School, also lived up to this responsibility. He hoped that the 2017 Homecoming event will bring about the desired results envisaged by the association.

As part of the activities for the homecoming event, Mrs. Joyce Ofori Kwafo, the Secretary of the Association, who is also the head of the Publicity Sub-committee, said the event will be used as a catalyst to propel the smooth running of the school. Among the activities to be held at the event are career guidance and counselling sessions, interaction with the student body, meetings with the academic board, health talks, candle light procession, bon fire, fraternity show, social networking and a congress of old students where a new national executive board will be elected, among others.

Mr. Eddie Ankomah encouraged all old students, past tutors, and the general public to attend this event to make it a success.
