The head pastor of the Open-Door Assemblies of God Church located at Kumasi Breman West, Rev Dr. Franklin Osei Tutu, has appealed to Ghanaians especially men of God and politicians to manifest nationalism and eschew attitudes of partisan politics.

He called on them to pray for the President and his Cabinet Team in their quest to position the country beyond limitations. He was speaking at a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Church over the weekend,

Speaking to Public Agenda in Kumasi, Rev Dr. Franklin expressed disappointment that, instead of the citizens positioning themselves in national building to create peace, unity and stability to move the country forward, many have diverted their attention to dirty partisan politics trying all out to become national saboteurs.

He observed that the development of every country depends on its citizens and that ideology generally applies to Ghanaians too. He said as a man of God, he is duty bound to discourage act of underdevelopment, instead, he compels people to understand the existence of man on earth since judgment day awaits everyone.

He stated that at the time government is making all efforts to transform the ills of the country; it is the responsibility of all Ghanaians to refrain from conduct that could thwart the move of the government in the name of partisan politics. “Let’s think right, be patriotic and develop the habit of passion for economic development”, Rev Osei Tutu advised. He was also quick to appeal to the government to create jobs for the people, giving them better education, providing good drinking water and good health facilities as well as strengthening the country’s security to ensure peace and stability in the country.
