Two Ghanaian FIFA referees Juliet Appiah and Doris Ntiful are part of officials to handle matches at this year’s West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone B Tournament, which starts on Wednesday, May 8 in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

The two referees on Tuesday, May 7 joined their counterparts from other African countries for training at the Robert Champroux Stadium, where the opening match between the hosts Cote d’Ivoire and Togo will take place.

Ghana’s Black Queens, who are the defending champions, are hoping to retain the title at the end of the eight-nation tournament.

The Queens are drawn in Group A alongside Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal and Togo.
