NEIP Opens Application For Window 2 Of Presidential Business Support Programme

The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan-NEIP, under the Ministry of Business Development has announced the call for application under the WINDOW 2 of the NEIP Presidential Business Support Programme.

NEIP is a flagship program of the Government of Ghana to support and promote entrepreneurship and business development.

NEIP was launched by the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with a seed capital of USD10 million which is expected to be scaled up to USD100 million. This project under the WINDOW 1 Supported over 7000 applicants with Training, Business Advisory services, Technical Support and Access to market.

At the End of the WINDOW 1, about 1,350 businesses were supported with seed capital fund ranging from GHs10,000 to GHs100,000. WINDOW 2 APPLICATION is seeking to provide training, Technical Support, Business Advisory Services and Access to Market to over 10,000 businesses across Ghana. At the end of WINDOW 2 we seek to support about 2,000 businesses with SEED CAPITAL FUND.

Applicants who applied for window 1 but were not successful, can apply again for window 2.

A. HOW TO APPLY

All applicants are requested to complete a detailed application form at www.neip.gov.gh including the payment of a non-refundable registration fee of GHs100 at any National Investment Bank (NIB). Ask the bank staff that you will like to make a payment for the NEIP Business Support Programme. After the payment at the bank you will obtain a unique code to complete your application process online.

B. APPLICATION AND DEADLINE

The application can be submitted online via www.neip.gov.gh, at the submit button upon completion of application form. where you will find detailed information regarding the content of the application, eligibility criteria, selection procedure, etc. – Application period begins 3rd September, 2018 and ends on 31st October, 2018 midnight GMT – Late applications will not be considered.

C.SELECTION PROCEDURE

STAGE 1: Submission of Completed Application form and payment of Non-refundable fee
STAGE 2: Shortlisted applicants posted to the Incubation Hubs for pre-selection training and supported to write a proper business plan
STAGE 3 Submission of completed business plans for review and selection

STAGE 4 Shortlisted finalist invited to the INCUBATION HUBS for final Training and Pitching
STAGE 5: Shortlisted Finalist prepared for due diligence and Disbursement of Funds

D. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Any Ghanaian with an innovative business idea.
